Recommended Streaming Bandwidth

Based on the Video Format / Resolution you wish to use, we recommend the following corresponding adjustments for the Streaming Bitrate when using the vp9 encoder.

Streaming Video Bitrate and Video Resolution can be adjusted via Menu → Streaming → Video

Resolution: Auto will adapt to the same Resolution of the Input. Example: Rayfin set to FHD, Resolution Auto will be 1920 x1080

Video Format / Resolution Reference

SD = Standard Definition Resolution

  • 720×480 pixels in North America

  • 720×576 pixels in Europe

NTSC = National Television System Committe

  • 720x480 pixels
    North America, Japan, and most of South America.

  • PAL = Phase Alternate Line

  • 720x576 pixels.
    Europe, most of Asia and Oceania, most of Africa, and parts of South America

  • HD = High Definition

  • 1280x720 pixels

  • FHD = Full High Definition
    Also known as Full HD / “1080p”

  • 1920 x 1080 pixels

  • 4K = 4K video resolution is high-definition (HD) video that has four times the resolution of FHD (4x 1080p).

SubC Rayfin camera default output stream is FHD (1920 x1080) and can be adjust up to 4K (4096x2160).

There are two standard resolutions for 4K video:

  • The Digital Cinema Initiatives standard for 4K resolution in the film and video production industry is 4096x2160 pixels.

  • The 4K resolution standard for television and monitors is 3840x2160 pixels.

For conditions with very low bandwidth available.

  • 320x240 video format resolution
